They make just 2500 cases a year from their vineyards in Oak Knoll and Los Carneros.A blend of Cab. Sauv. 63%, Cab. Franc 25%, Merlot 9%, and Petit Verdot 3%. Ripe berry aromas of blueberry, raspberry, and pomegranate with undercurrents of black pepper and dark chocolate. It is well-structured on the palate with firm tannins, inviting acidity, and a pleasant lingering finish.Bringing old world and new world together, it shows notes of darker fruit typical of a Napa Cabernet Sauvignon, with the finesse and backbone so often noted in Bordeaux wines. There is nice spice from time in French oak, with hints of leather and earthiness, good weight and a full finish in the mouth.Aromas of vanilla, baking spices, lavender, rose petal, red cherry, red plum, and red bell pepper. On the palate, it is fruit-forward with Marciano cherry, pepper flakes, and tobacco flavours. It can be cellared for another 8 years and still show freshness and vibrancy. Just 460 cases produced.Aromas of violets, juicy dark fruit including plum and blackberry, with undercurrents of black pepper, and damp earth. Medium-full bodied with firm, yet polished, tannins and bright acidity, making it very versatile for food pairings or to enjoy on its own. Just 373 cases made.Aromas of dried herbs, ripe black cherry, plum, and raspberry with undercurrents of vanilla, cocoa powder, wet stone and black pepper. On the palate, it has savoury flavours of ripe juicy fruit with a firm tannin structure. It will continue to age well over the next 20 years.Aromas of ripe cherries, watermelon and cranberry, with hints of pencil shavings. A mix of fresh ripe berries on the palate with elegant tannins and a soft lingering finish. Medium-bodied, with a perfect balance between its flavour profile, tannin structure and natural acidity.The 2018 vintage saw near-ideal conditions for fruit to accumulate flavour complexity with gradual increases in sugar levels.
